Naomi Campbell's Fashion For Relief Campaign is excited to announce its latest project to help raise vital funds and awareness towards the fight against Ebola.
Naomi will host a Fashion For Relief event featuring a star-studded charity fashion show on Saturday, February 14 at 8:00 PM at Lincoln Center during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York. Naomi will hit the catwalk along with model and celebrity friends, all of whom will don pieces donated from the world’s most prestigious fashion houses, such as Diane Von Furstenberg, Proenza Schouler, Marc Jacobs, Emilio Pucci, Givenchy, Roberto Cavalli, Calvin Klein and Thom Browne, among others. Guests will enjoy a fashion spectacle and live music from DJ Jeremy Healy.
Naomi has also called upon the most influential designers, artists, brands and celebrities to donate items to the Fashion For Relief auction. Items will be available for sale following the show.
Proceeds from the fashion show and auction will support the Ebola Survival Fund, a coalition of developmental organizations that works directly with communities and community-based groups in Liberia and Sierra Leone to help those affected by Ebola. The organization continually works toward addressing immediate Ebola response needs as well as long-term healthcare systems and infrastructure strengthening and economic recovery.
Naomi established Fashion For Relief in 2005 in order to mobilize the fashion industry to support important causes through fashion shows and special events. Since its conception, Fashion For Relief has presented events in New York, London, Cannes, Moscow, Tokyo, Mumbai and Dar Es Salaam, and has raised millions of dollars for various causes and aided people in need around the globe.
